Before coming here, she had envisioned numerous hypothetical scenarios in her mind. She thought that perhaps she would rush forward and slap Feng Bowen and that woman, then cry out in anguish, accusing Feng Bowen of his unfaithfulness. Alternatively, she might simply approach them calmly, casting a sharp gaze at the couple, cursing them to marry early and divorce early.

All the guests turned their attention this way, quickly understanding the situation and whispering among themselves. Meanwhile, the bride, Yaqi, changed her expression, and Feng Bowen hurriedly offered a perfunctory response before striding towards the steps.

The bride stands at approximately 1.7 meters tall, adorned in a long gown that exudes an air of elegance and sophistication. Her loosely styled bun adds to her graceful demeanor.

The car arrived at the Hilton Hotel, and before it had come to a complete stop, she opened the door and jumped out. Her high heels lost their grip, and she fell heavily to the ground. In a disheveled state, she braced herself on the ground, with her wrist and knee scraped. Her white shirt was stained, and one of her heels was broken.

The voice was devoid of any emotion, resembling a command. She did not hesitate, opened the car door, and got in. The car was filled with a pleasant aroma, not floral, but more akin to a woody scent, a subtle fragrance that instantly transported her from the scorching heat of the sun and the weight of the books back to the coolness of the forest.

However, after making the effort to arrive here, she found herself unable to utter a single word. She could only stand awkwardly at the bottom of the hotel steps, looking up at the couple above who were welcoming guests with smiling faces

"It is a quarter past eleven, there is no time left." She murmured, "There is no time left," and by the time she reached the hotel, the wedding would have already begun. She smiled sadly, realizing that it was not just a matter of being late at a quarter past eleven; it had been too late a year ago, two years ago!

He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, with her messy short hair, a face covered in sweat, sunburned and flushed from the heat, wearing an oversized yellowed white shirt and jeans, looking nothing like the refined women he usually interacted with

The entire hotel has been booked by Feng Bowen, and a long banner hangs in front of the hotel, stating: "Groom Feng Bowen and Bride Yaqi joyfully unite in marriage, wishing them a harmonious union for a hundred years"

She did not expect him to back the car up; the vehicle stopped beside her, and a low voice came from inside the car, "A quarter past eleven"

And she was actually going to the Hilton Hotel, which was exactly on the same route as him, as he was heading to a business partner's wedding

Feng Bowen... she shouted with all her might, her voice so loud that it startled him, sitting in the car. How could this frail woman possess such tremendous explosive power

He looked at her standing forlornly by the roadside through the car's rearview mirror, holding a high heel in her hand, her prominent collarbone and slender figure making her appear so insignificant against the backdrop of the grand building behind her

Not a word was spoken along the way

As she lifted her eyes, she saw the groom, Feng Bowen, standing at the entrance of the hotel. On his white suit, the red flower he wore clearly bore the inscription "Groom." Feng Bowen was welcoming the guests attending the wedding, while the bride, dressed in a red formal gown, stood beside him

Go to the Hilton Hotel she told him in a succinct tone

Get in the car! His voice came from inside the car again

A woman can resolutely shield a man from all calamities by his side, yet she cannot prevent the man's romantic entanglements.

This revealed a hidden part of his innermost being, where there once was a woman, standing alone by the roadside, much like her, resembling a child unable to find their way home, waiting for him to take her back.

She looked at herself, then at the elegantly dressed bride, and suddenly found herself at a loss for words
